Unit 3
Slab Slump Mold/Grafito
Steps: I first made a slump mold with a bowl shaped mold then I glazed it accidentally with gloss glaze instead of under glaze which was fired and I did ruin the bottom of it but I went over it with another coat then It turned out pretty good.
Reflection: This piece is actually in my kitchen at home and I gave it to my mom and she now uses it as a fruit bowl. Even though I messed it up in the beginning it turned out pretty good.
Coil Vase
Steps: When I made this it took me multiple days and all of the coils and shapes I had to make took me multiple tries. I ended up having to put it in the slop bucket because I forgot to slip and score some of the pieces.
Reflection: This piece was a trial of error and it was very tedious to do since I had to get decently good at making all of the shapes when I eventually had to throw it away.
Slab Structure Darts
Steps: When I made this piece at first I had to restart and it turned into this one which was much better the clay that I cut out was measured and the base of it is built really well.
Reflection: I think theis piece will be a nice decaration at my house because of the colors I used very vibrant colors for this piece and I used the exploding rocks.
Choice Project
Steps: I really tried to master making pinch pots with this piece. I tried to make it as even as I could with my hands and it turned out pretty good and I really like the colors I glazed it with it really pops.
Reflection: This might be one of my favorite pieces that I have mad so far because it used as a fruit bowl at my house now and it looks really cool.
Relief Carving Revisited
Steps: I made a slab and cut out a circle and had the idea to make it look like a sun with face features like a nose eyes and even a mouth.
Reflection: I really like this piece because I can hang it up on my wall and It will nice because my room matches the colors of it.
